He said all along that Auburn's offense was a better fit for him, but I thought the distance would cause him to pick LSU in the end.

I will worry about that factor even if he picks Auburn today. Still plenty of time to change his mind assuming LSU continues to recruit him

I don't know how many QBs LSU plans on taking in their 2017 class, but they'll for sure get another top 200 player in Keytaon Thompson.

Congrats.

I think he wanted to play for LSU but realized that Auburn was the best option for him at this time. He is a perfect fit for that offense and will probably have an easier time getting on the field early there. If Harris plays well this year, Franks could end up red shirting next year. That would put him starting in 2017 at the earliest. Lowell would probably have to wait at least 2 years to have any shot at starting at LSU. No hard feelings.

Depth Chart is a big thing too. Sean White will probably be up next at Auburn then after that Narcisse looks to be the only real option with Woody as only competition really.

Franks is obviously our guaranteed starter once he gets going as a 2016 kid then we have Dinkelman already for 2018 so that transition shouldn't be bad. 2017 for us seems like an "insurance" QB. Kind of like our 2015 QB.
