He means LSU fans are the scourge of the earth, so kids from Louisiana don't won't to play for LSU.

Hid family did not like how the LSU fans turned on the starting QB and were booing him. Simple as that.
But as LSU Patrick has kindly pointed out, it's all just a misunderstanding. After all, LSU fans are the "best fans in the country"
