Shula was a very good person and good position coach, just didn't have the experience to be a head coach.

His last two seasons were worse than anything Orgeron ever did. Orgeron stacked us up with elite talent and put us on the map recruiting wise. Plus his teams were always competitive except for when we played Arkansas for some reason. Orgeron was good at a lot of things. He just wasn't ready to be the man in charge. Nutt just stopped recruiting and ran our program into the ground so he could get fired and sit on his fat arse and get paid millions of dollars. Orgeron busted his arse every day until the day he was let go.

Orgeron brought in a shite ton of players that underperformed under Nutt then went to the NFL for solid careers. We haven't had anyone getting drafted in the first few years under Freeze because Nutt left a dumpster fire behind.
