Not sure about Spurrier's recruiting tactics at USC, but I seem to remember that he was a little quirky about it at UF.
He basically quit recruiting Anquan Boldin to Florida because Bolden insisted on playing QB. Hell, he should've told him that he'd let him play QB like Bowden did just to get him to sign.

He wouldn't recruit Tommie Frazier either (who was local and wanted to go there).
