"(Johnson) said he likes his athleticism and with hard work, he feels like the sky is the limit," Dorsey said. "The main thing I want to make sure is that he goes to 'Bama and gets his education. That's our main thing. Everything else will be the icing on the cake."

Hall remains 100 percent committed to Alabama and has no intentions of getting a release from his scholarship. He'll enroll at Alabama for the first summer session, Dorsey said.

Hall was also impressed with his new head coach.

"He's got to put in the work and I think he's excited about he develops players," Dorsey said. "Not like the previous coach wasn't going to, but I know that he really stressed that quite a bit. He's very excited about playing when he gets up there.

Avery Johnson met up with Brandon Austin:
quote:

"He told Brandon to get ready and there was a lot of hard work and toe the rope and get ready to go," Jackson told AL.com. "There's going to be a lot of straining and putting in long hours to get things right. That's what's expected.

He then took the opportunity to speak to 20-25 Montgomery area high school basketball coaches:

quote:

"He really believes in high school coaches and what they do for kids. He was adamant about talking about that, getting kids to be young men and able to step up to the next level. He talked about that a lot. He thanked me for helping get Brandon in the position that he's in."

"He told a little bit about himself and I thought that was top of the line," Jackson said. "We know he's busy and we know he's trying to hit everywhere and hit all these visits he has to get to once you get that type of job.

"He waited around and made sure he shook every hand and introduced himself and took some pictures with most of the coaches. He told them he was excited and definitely wants them to come and visit and be a part of Alabama basketball. That's super."

LINK Nice to see Avery already starting to make in-roads in Alabama.
