I don't believe I ever claimed that to be a good QB you had to throw for X amount of yards. I fully realize passing offenses were nothing at all then like they are now. My entire argument was simply that he's average. And I believe he is.

Like I said go back and look at the numbers for UGA QB's in the 70's and 80's if you really want SOME POINT of reference (of which you have none except for 3 games on DVD)Hell look at Matt Robinson's numbers (who went on to become an NFL starting QB) and compare him to Belue at UGA

You giving me your opinion of Buck Belue is like me giving an opinion of Fran Tarkenton's
playing day's @ UGA to someone who watched him play in person almost every game. I have no idea how good he was...I know his numbers were shite but I also know they won an SEC championship and he went on to have a great NFL career but I wouldn't know the first thing about his playing career at UGA beyond his numbers.
