That is why Chuck get a serious look when AU had an opening. A NBA coaches mostly just manage the game by letting the stars play their game. Very little coaching and zero recruiting. AJ does have a track record, but with mixed reviews.

That isn't the way the NBA works. At all. Do you actually watch NBA games? Do you watch the Hawks, Grizzlies, Spurs, Warriors, Rockets, Blazers, etc? Teams that do what you describe end up being the Brooklyn Nets and the Atlanta Hawks of the Joe Johnson/Josh Smith era. Those teams suck and don't win.
And again, Chuck Person was a down the bench assistant. Johnson was a head coach for 5 years. I mean, are you seriously comparing the two right now? GTFOH.
