Been a long time but figured it was time to come back and bs with you all. Not sure what happened in the past as my old account was effectively killed and had to restart from scratch.
You'll have to fill me in on the shake up that took place awhile back as I've heard it was interesting.

To be fair, I've been going by this moniker since the inception of the original dawgrant (RIP).
There's enough room for more then one dawg from cobb, especially if that person is rep'ing south cobb, west cobb, northwest cobb, or marietta city...

Hey DH, good to see you.
To be frank, I got burnt out on message boards in general and had to take a break from them. Plus I was going back to grad school and working full time so I just didn't have the time or desire to post for a bit. I'm not quite to the Island phase yet but I'm working towards it my friend.
I finally got the urge to get start posting again and I noticed that everything had changed. Not only was the original dawgrant gone and absorbed, but even the lame arse dawrun was gone as well. My old account had been effectively killed so I had to reapply for admission.
Anyhow, how are things going for you?

Its all good for me man. The wife and the girlfriend get along well, so I have no complaints.

I know you were an active participant in the old music threads on the original Rant...deeprig does the pandoras box over here, which you may or may not find edifying. It mostly appears to be a "who can find the most pretentiously obscure band to LOVE" thread.

Good to hear about the wife and GF getting along well. I'm settled in on being a lifelong bachelor at this point, but no complaints there.
Grad school worked out fine. Finished two masters degrees (MBA and M.S. Finance). I'm taking a break for now but may go back for a Ph.d. or J.D. at some point.
I'm still a big time music fan as ever, though my focus is still largely in the classic rock genre so not too many obscure bands to focus on in that area.
As far as that question below, I think I might put the Mars Volta into that conversation. Bad arse band from the late 90s through 2000s that has a very zeppelin kind of sound but with their own flavor.

Which now with Walton is considered the elite non private high schools in the state. Those schools are almost in arms wars with each other when you see their facilities, though Lassiter seems to have an edge.
