It's not 'hate' to opt to not take part or contribute to a practice that is not ordained or condoned by your religion. No one said anything about 'hating' the person. The Bible tells us to love our enemy even, but it doesn't say participate in their sin.

Marriage isn't a religious contract, it is a legal contract oversaw by the government, no marriage is legal in the country without first being approved and purchasing a license from the government.
Not open up you book and tell me what is says about obeying the laws of the land...
