Can you explain that? Granted you have more restaurants and bars.

There are a lot of factors involved other than just population numbers, IMO.

Starkville is just a small college town located on HWY 82 with a college town population, much more similar to Auburn, IMO.

Tuscaloosa is roughly 3x larger and has a lot of diversity due to various industries in the area and its proximity to Birmingham. Located on the Black Warrior River, with a decent sized Lake that's a part of it. And, as you mentioned, many more restaurants, bars, etc...

I do miss Stromboli's though
