It was a long shot to get in with a 31 ACT, but I applied anyway because there and MSU were the only places I wanted to go. Plenty of people go to State with a better ACT and I would assume better resume.

Your fat arse could have taken the ACT 3 times, added up your scores and you still wouldn't get 31.
