We understand the dynamic of a guy not winning enough for an elite program. We are Alabama, in case you forgot. However, we also realize Alabama basketball is not the same as Indiana or Kentucky. So, I take most of that with a grain of salt. If Crean comes to Alabama and goes 22-9 and gets an 8-9 seed in the NCAAs most years we will be pretty happy. If Crean does that at Indiana he is going to get fired. It just isn't the same thing. Crean won at Marquette with a bunch of different teams, not just the Wade team.

And yea, I would trade ACAG for that guy in a heartbeat. I realize everyone seems to have this romantic idea of whatever CAG was, but while he was a great dude he was a bad basketball coach who ran a bad basketball program that didn't produce jack crap.

No, I don't want to. I have better names on my wish list. But there's a lot of smoke pointing to this happening. We could do worse I suppose. I just want to resurrect this basketball program to the level it was on when Wimp patrolled the sidelines with his scowl and his hideous plaid sports coats, then I'd like to go beyond that. I watched many a game at Coleman when it was the Plaid Palace and I enjoyed every minute of it. Now it's like going to the hospital and sitting with a relative on life support.
