AU facilities match Bama's, and if you throw in the Arena, Dorm and Wellness Center they surpass them.

Alabama has a slightly better basketball fanbase than Auburn, but honestly, we're both pretty shitty in the dept

Auburn fans jumped on teh bandwagon with the Parl hire, off it during the season and back on again during the SEC tourney

our fans abandoned ship around the OT loss to Arky

I'd say our infrastructure is pretty similar but again that's nothing to brag about - Alabama has had more success in the past, and in the more recent past, but that can only get you so far

I'm sorry Bama absolutely has a better basketball infrastructure than Auburn. Of course AU has an elite coach now, something Bama has to go get if they want to maintain the natural basketball advantage.

Look all things equal if Pearl was at Alabama he could make them a force with much more ease than he has to Auburn. Alabama has a decent history basketball wise compared to the SEC. Besides UK, UT and Alabama have the most conference championships all time. I think Pearl at Alabama could have been deadly for the SEC.

Let's not pretend like Auburn gave a flying crap about their basketball program before they magically had an elite coach back into their laps. Alabama has made an elite 8 this century, while AU has spent the majority of this century playing horrible basketball in front of hundreds a fans each night. Alabama has a higher ceiling long term in basketball in my opinion. Agree to disagree.

Don't get me wrong though, Pearl whether he leaves in 3 years or 20 years from AU, he will have left the program in a much better place than what he got. I'm still jelly yall have our coach.
