Why the hell does Pearson's name keep coming up? Better yet, Stansbury's? If we give it to Pearson, we might as well give it to Pettway. I'd at least feel good about giving the kid a break.

If Battle is really shooting for the moon, I believe the story about offering Marshall $3.5 million. But he will turn us down. I would offer that to Shaka Smart next. I wonder what he would do? After that, I don't know who would fit the bill as a home run hire. I still like Miller and Jacobson but neither would be considered a home run. The suspense is killing me. I still think Crean is a player in this regardless of what the pundits are saying. What are they going to say, "Yeah, he's leaving just as soon as he loses in the tourney. ". That would work well wouldn't it??

Bama can't have a homerun hire in bball. MAybe one day but not today. We have to take an educated risk. Miami football did that in the 80s and so did Tulsa in basketball.

Just a guess but I would assume Pearson's name is being leaked intentionally but more as a courtesy after his time here. That he's being "considered" maybe helps get him on the radar for some smaller college jobs?
