I think it'll be interesting to see how we do against the Trent kid from Ole Miss. I think he started out at LSU and then transferred to Delgado in New Orleans. He gave us some issues last year and I'm sure he'll be psyched up to compete again this year.
All three of our starters got extended this past weekend and threw extremely well in a neutral site, big league stadium with tons of pressure. I think Poche gets the job done Friday and outlasts the former LSU kid and then Lange is going to announce himself to the SEC on Saturday. Godfrey to me is still a bit of a box of chocolates.
The bullpen is going roaring to go this year, which is great for our starters. We will shackle people with the relievers we have this year. Just a fantastic selection of pitchers to choose from.
One thing to watch is whether we try to keep Jared Foster at 2nd base. He just started taking grounders there Wednesday and had a few chances in the midweek game against McNeese yesterday. He's a former OF and we just have too much talent out there to take anyone else out of the lineup.
With Kramer (My Mom's the HC of the Women's Hoops team at Baylor) slipping a bit at the plate and Grayson Byrd a little inconsistent and the outfield a packed house, we're trying to find places for all of the bats.
If Foster can make the switch somehow, we'll be loaded for bear offensively and will be hard to beat this year once SEC play cranks up.

Good post GFunk.
I didn't see Friday's game but watched the 2nd & 3rd games. Spot on comment about Lange and Godfrey.
Spot on here too.
