This isn't about more flags or less flags. It's about stopping teams from abusing a rule that gives the offense a clear advantage

It wouldn't cause more flags if players weren't coached to block downfield on passing plays. Now they'll be coached NOT to block downfield.
If it's a rule, just call it enough and players will stop it.
