And a lot of Southern food is quite delicious - Red beans and rice, gumbo, shrimp creole, jambalaya, cornbread, southern fried chicken, blackened redfish, tront almondine or menieure, fried catfish, hush puppies, shrimp and grits, homemade biscuits, char-grilled oysters, oysters rockefeller and bienville, crab cakes, cochon de lait (roast pork loin), crawfish etouffe', beignets, shrimp remoulade, bread pudding with whisky sauce, not to mention BBQ in Alabama, North Carolina, Texas, etc.

You have to distinguish between southern food and Cajun food, or people here will throw a fit. I like it all though

This

I love Creole/Cajun food and cook it all the time, it's what I was raised on from one side on my family. The other side was all Southern/Country cooking. I also love northeastern/Yankee foods as well.

I can't stand some of the shite people eat in the South though, i.e. pickled pigs feet, bbq'd pigs ears, chitlins, pickeled eggs cracklins, liver & onions, mustard greens, poke salad, fried chicken gizzards/livers, squirrel and other various road kill, varments, and wild game.
