Speaking of high school players who had reputations as great shooters but weren't able to live up to it at Bama:

@PackPride: NC State's Trevor Lacey is a finalist for the Jerry West Award given to the nation's best shooting guard.

His 3Pt% this year is higher than his FG% both years at Bama. This is why I always dispute the claim that the issue is recruiting or talent. When 4* and 5* recruits consistently play like 3*s, the issue is coaching and talent development

I think its different when you playing with Cat Barber and another great shooter like Ralston Turner. He more than likely gets a lot better shots and he had a extra year to do nothing but work on his game.

This speaks to some of my earlier posts in this thread. Better opportunities(open shots) lead to better percentages. Open shots are the result of the competent offensive sets, something Bama does not have.

Never thought I would miss the UCLA hi-lo
