The real question is which cost more? The service dog or the two Auburn players involved. My money is on the players.

One of these therapy dogs is very costly in both time and money. There is a lengthy application and screening process. You have to spend money going to a shrink who will recommend one to you. You generally have to travel across country to get it (my BIL will have to travel from IN to FL). And once you get there you have to spend weeks there working with the dog and trainers (that's time away from work). Then you add in the cost of owning a dog.

A weekly NCAA stipend isn't that much on the other hand. If you you're implying that Auburn pays its players itself then we already know officially that Auburn doesn't do that via NCAA investigation
