Disagree. No way he was going to play ahead of Sproles or Thomas his first year and that was the only year of his career that the Saints had a decent run-blocking line. Playing behind the Dallas or Seattle lines Ingram would easily be a thousand yard back.

Ingram got more carries than BOTH his first year. He's been outperformed by just about every back we've had over his time with the Saints, some undrafted free agents.

He was the worst 1st round pick the Saints have made in quite some time. Total waste of a pick.

No one said otherwise. Counting passing plays they were in for many more downs than Ingram. Anyone who watched the Saints would have considered Ingram no more than the 3rd string back in that offense. Running backs in the league are a dime a dozen. I would not have picked Ingram or any other back in that spot but when you look at the league as a whole, he has performed about average for backs chosen in the first round over the past five years. Very few Murrays come along anymore. To call him a bust means you expected far more out of him than we've seen and I did not. He can be a bust for you but isn't for me.
