Paul Dietzel won a consensus national title and hasn't made the cut.

And that's one of the largest travesties in college football.

Coach was one of the best men to ever coach the game. He got a bad rap at Army because he couldn't beat Navy who just happened to have a guy named Staubach QBing for them when Coach was at Army.

Then he came to SC, won our first and only conference championship in '69 .... but he did a lot more for us that will forever go unrewarded by most. He set us on a plan to one day become a member of the SEC. He did more for us back then, in the late 60s and early 70s, than any other coach we ever had.
