Is having sex the final determining factor of a relationship? The answer is different for every couple. And if the argument is for procreation, not every hetero couple wants or can have children.

And we can get into the argument that there are hetero couples that shouldn't have children either, and there are plenty of fatherless children that need loving parents(gay or straight) to adopt them because of these hetero couples that should never have procreated in the first place, but we'll stay away of that.
