Nobody is hating on Mizzou for winning the east. Hell, I'd rather Mizzou win it than Georgia or Florida. We're just saying the east has been down the last couple of years, because it has.

in 2013, the east finished with 2 top 5 teams. Historically, that is way above average since SEC went to two divisions. 2014 was down, but so was Mizzou.

Except that narrative is completely inaccurate. 2013 was the second best year for the division in this century. 14 was below average, but not the worst it's been.
