And you could be right. Football tends to evolve and change...but it most definitely DOES change over time. It could go either way. There will always be a place for big and small WRs and DBs, but I DO tend to believe the numbers will ebb and flow.

I'm not entirely sure this made any sense at all....but I know what I meant.

I remember we played Auburn and USC one year back in the 80s. They had big WRs. One of our DBs "Greg" was a gifted athlete, but also 5'7". They wore him out. He could tackle 235 lb running backs and could run like the wind, but he just got out bodied by the 6'2 to 6'4 guys. This was like 30 years ago.
