Go watch his tape doesn't take long to see why he's a 5 star.

I've now watched it. Kid has amazing hands and ability to pluck the ball out of the air in crazy situations (ball skills). I can see why the high rating...but I still wonder about the legitimacy of the 5 star based on lack of size combined with what a few people here have said: He's not as fast or as strong as some other blue chip, elite small guys.

So if he isn't as big, isn't as fast and isn't as strong, well....usually, you make up for size with speed and/or quickness and vice versa. It seems, though, that the consensus is that he isn't elite at any of the given measurables, other than ball skills.

Like I said, excited to have him. He does look really good on tape and I think he'll be a great fit in our offense, especially when Eason comes on board (I'm not sold on any of the current crop of QBs, but that's a different topic).

I would say he has elite quickness and burst. Jake Rowe seems to think his top end speed will improve as he gets stronger in a college strength program.

The bottom line is that he's dominated every venue he's ever played in, on both sides of the ball.
