It's really not my job to tell you EVERYTHING you can do in Columbia that you can't do in Clemson.. there are calendars of events for that.. people get paid to make those for inquiring minds like yours. Check 'em out. Make their work worthwhile.

The Vista ---> LINK /

5 points ---> LINK /

Main Street/Columbia in general ---> LINK /

St. Pats in 5points ---> LINK /

Columbia has museums, festivals, and even the State Fair (they give out tickets to students in bundles if you're in the right place at the right time)... all things that Clemson students would have to LEAVE Clemson for...

I'm sure Clemson has a similar Calendar of Events, and the outdoor recreation is cool (even though you can do some of that in the Midlands as well).. but my point still stands.

I'm done with this debate

Greenville blows away Columbia, and I like tigertown better than 5 points or the vista.

Main street Columbia sux. Just tall corporate buildings and like 3 restaurants. lol

You have to drive a little more for a variety of restaurants, and shopping, if you live in Clemson. but in terms of things to do, there is no difference.
