Makes about as much sense as "300" does. Slavery has been around as long as the human race. Go all the way back or all the way back to through American history. I would say 300 is arbitrary and not right under any scenario. The years 1619 to 1863 is not 300.

Dammit. The day you can't trust vile rapists to get the nuances of their historical numbers correct is the day we as a society have failed vile rapists.
