Well, I think the gripe some people have is that the students get two bleachers on side of the court and then part of the baseline on the other side. There isn't one joined student section that goes the length of the court and are right on top of the action like you see at a majority of schools.
I know there is either an SEC or NCAA regulation stating that the student sections can't be behind the team benches, so that makes things a little problematic. Still, there's got to be a better way to get the students better seating where they can help create a true home court atmosphere. At the end of the day, the optics are just bad because instead of seeing the student section on TV, you see a dark arena with a bunch of empty seats and boosters sitting on their hands.

I get that, I was just wondering if they had taken that lower section in the pic away from the students, and it looks like they did. When I was a student section S was opposite of this, students in the lower part, and general seats in the upper part. Such bullshite. No wonder students don't come out to games.
