I don't understand how people just get slapped with petty charges. It would be hard to be more of a shite head than I was in college and I never had a PI/DC or anything of the like.
Small sample size I guess but it seems like it isn't that hard to not act like an idiot in front of cops.
ETA: I do think SPD is pretty lenient, never really heard of many drunk in public charges.

I've seen Oxford cops walk up to grown men 21 or older walking down the sidewalk minding their business and ask them if they've been drinking then arrest them for saying yes.
More than once.
Its outrageous.
