First, the elephant story has been told for generations. If you don't know by now you either are either ignorant or 10.

Second, many schools have a nickname and a mascot that are different. I'm sure you don't know so here are some examples:

Stanford Cardinal- tree
Auburn Tigers- Golden Eagle...beautiful animal by the way
MIami Hurricanes- Ibis the whatever....
Tennessee Volunteers- Blue tick hound
Oklahoma Sooners-Covered wagon... kinda maybe fits
Ole Miss Rebels- Black bear
Tulane Green Wave- Pelican

Now, I'm sure this was an agenda question but please feel free to carry on asking why to the above schools mentioned as I know you are interested in them as well.
