We were on the list before them too. When we turned the SEC down USC got the invite.

You dont' think that was about expanding into new market?
I think one thing makes ACC unique is the games b/t north and south. The Clemson - BC rivalry has really become one of the best every year.
Outside of Maryland in the big 10, and WV playing in big 12, ACC is only conference with cross regional games. We also have Lousivlle now which seems like Midwest to me.
I think you will see BC, Syracuse, and Pitsburgh start to land more recruits being in a better conference.
