Looking Forward - Wide Receivers

Key Departures: Sasser, Hunt, White, Otte
Returning Starters: None
In the Mix: Leftwich (Sr.), Moore (So.), Brown (So.), Richard (Fr.), Blair (Fr.), DiLosa (Fr.)
New Additions: Hall, Floyd, Johnson, Smith
Currently on roster, just enough to fill out a 2 deep. I have given up on Leftwich and don't see his role changing much next year. The lack of touches for the younger players concerns me as well. We've all talked about it, Brown and Moore have to step up big time. Many would love to see some depth added to the position by moving Zanders and Doherty there.
WR seems to be a position that someone always seems to step up so while the lack of depth, lack of experience and lack of returning production worries me, I'll pull for next years receiving corp being a push with this past season's WR corp. After all, while I liked Sasser, it's not like him, Hunt and White were world beaters.

Will agree. The person that can improve our WRs is Maty by pretending he's in the 4th quarter all the time.....last few games in the 4th quarter he was getting it done.

The new crop of WR's are big and athletic. The good thing is they will grow with MM.

I don't see a single WR moving forward actually, only horizontal.

None of those Fr WR's do anything for me.
Was really confused at each of those offers.
At least 2 of 3 had alternative motives to them getting offered.
Doesn't Richard have a brother?
And DiLosa was a desperate attempt to keep the TX pipeline going.
Richard was also a way for us to break into TN.
If we don't get a legit game changing true freshman with the 'play immediately' card, we're going to be hurting big time at WR.
Fully expect Abbington to be thrown the ball next year.
