Similarities
-Have not won, much less attended a National Championship in 50+ years.
-Have not won, much less attended a Conference Championship post-millennium.
-Both are in the bottom half of the SEC with current NFL alum.
-Both repeatedly hype "next year's team" for the inevitable result of mediocrity.
-Both project themselves above others seeking solace for things they do not have.
Differences
-Archie Manning is a great representative of the program. Johnny Manziel is..Johnny Manziel.
-Ole Miss has beaten a ranked team @ home since joining the SEC.
-Ole Miss is the flagship University in the State, A&M is not.
-Per capita, Ole Miss women put A&M women to a crying shame.
-Ole Miss campus>A&M's pasture
For non-OM & A&M posters, feel free to provide additional information.
For Ole Miss & A&M posters, how does it feel knowing that even teenage LSU fans have seen 3 more National Championship games than you?
Have a blessed Monday

I have to hand it to Ole Miss. They can beat LSU consistently in this millinium. Something we can do, despite being in position many times.

Passion for tradition, and a focus on something other than the game (aka the Grove and the yells).

different?
A HUGE difference in mentalities.
Ole Miss fans for the most part feel their best times were in the past. My grandad goes on and on about how awesome Vaught was. They are skeptical of their future, and they know the SEC deck is kinda stacked against them.
A&M fans on the other hand are known for feeling our time is the future. Every A&M fan I have met feels like we are a sleeping giant, and that we have never seen our peek. Every gain is a march towards that alarm clock ringing, and every setback is just a snooze button. We feed on the delusion that we will be a relevant program one day, and we carve up the past to fit that narrative.
So we look similar from miles out, but look completely different up close.
