I remember it differently (I am an old man) so I guess we'll have to agree to disagree. While Harvin was a more explosive player (he was their #1 receiver/#2 rusher in 2008), Demps & Rainey were pretty explosive in their own right. In 2009, UF had 2 players who exceeded Harvin's '08 receiving numbers and 2 who exceeded his rushing total. Tebow improved his own numbers in passing yardage, rushing yardage, and completion %. I think the only area where UF slipped from '08 to '09 was scoring offense (#4 to #10)...and I think they played in more close games than they did in '08...but I still don't think there was much of a drop-off, if there was one...

I hear ya, I might be remembering incorrectly.
I just remember them struggling offensively against Arkansas, MSU, Vandy, UT, and South Carolina.
