NSD has become anti-climactic.

I hate it. The ever increasing competition has birthed early commits from everyone everywhere.
I enjoyed when NSD was a crazy fluster of signing news and announcements. Now that euphoric rush is drug out over 16 months over the need for information in a constant 24 hour news cycle.
Most of the classes are set, very few uncommitted recruits are left, and now it's just skullduggery to see who can out backdoor each other.

I mean I get what your saying but think of it as a recruit. Would you want to keep a secret for a whole year and have teams still call you even though you know you won't go there? I know kids change their mind but I would want bama calling me if I already committed to LSU, maybe it's just me

A lot of the badass recruits want to get to college early because they hate high school and want to get a jump physically and mentally for their freshman season. As well as other highly recruited kids wanting to make sure they secure their spot to the school they want. NSD is for the media and people who like drama. Auburn has had our fair share of funny and pleasurable NSDays and shitty ones but it has become too much tolling for my taste.

2014 had us lose Shaun Nixon to TCU and miss out on Kenny Young, Braden Smith, and Mattrell McGraw
2013 saw us steal Daeshon Hall from Washington and lose out on Isaac Savianaiea and Torrodney Prevot,
2012 saw us lose Bralan Addison but steal Thomas Johnson from t.u.

I do love NSD. I have skipped class/taken a vacation day for it every year since like 2007. Last year was pretty dull because Ole Miss had their class fully committed without any flips to or from us.
This year could be fun though. I'll never forget NSD in 2013.

I still wanna know if my team is bringing in talent that's perceived as being good, but it's just too much nowadays.
It's also discouraging that the top teams have an easier time then ever identifying and selling themselves to recruits. That takes a lot of the mystery out of it.
