TCU nearly lost to WVU and Kansas, that's hardly consistent.

Look, I agree a B12 team deserved to be in the playoff. 5 teams deserved to be there. TCU wasn't one of them. They played a B12 schedule that had exactly how many good teams? 2? KSU and Baylor, and they lost to Baylor.

Both Texas and Oklahoma got blown out, and WVU and Baylor lost. Hell Baylor was the B12 champ and lost to the #3 B1G team. If the B12 had a CC, you'd have a better argument for Baylor or TCU being in the playoff, but TCU didn't even win their conference.

Bama didn't even win their division in 2011 but you can hardly make a case for them that they weren't the best team that year. Winning a conference is important but doesn't disqualify you.

Let's look at who bama beat as well because the big 12 was bad but the SEC wasn't great.

Texas a and m got overly hyped because they beat a Carolina team week one that turned out to be awful.

Arkansas even though they struggled to beat them and very well should have lost that game, I feel like arkansas was playing their best ball down the stretch but was still a bottom feeder of the conference

LSU should have beat bama as well but would have could have should have. LSU wasn't a good team this either as the back half of the season proved

Florida was a bad team

Mississippi state was ranked 1 for much of the year but that ranking came from them beating LSU and texas a and m, that proved to be very average wins.

Auburn was a decent win for bama although they got skull drug by Georgia

Tennessee barely made a bowl, good win?!? Meh

Missouri good win anytime you win your side of the division can qualify as a good win

West Virginia.... Bama struggled with them for much of the game as well.

Ole miss. They lost! TCU beat this team by almost 6 touchdowns.

TCU lost to Baylor on the road who just happened to have a case for the playoff as well
