Is it common for the SEC to have a say in their schools OOC games?

While I can see the SEC stepping in with BU and OU in the same year my better guess would be it was TV stepping in but saying it was SEC. With realignment the TV issues now have more say than schools and conferences. Just like that Wisconsin vs Texas series getting canned when BTN (FOX) and LHN (ESPN) would both have been on line.

I seriously doubt the SEC dictate to any SEC team on who they can and can not play. I do think they are trying to figure out the 9 game SEC schedule and this may play a lot into what is fixing to happen. I think there are a number of SEC teams trying to get out of future games with OOC opponents for this very reason
