Is it common for the SEC to have a say in their schools OOC games?

It is now that the conference changed the rules. If this is accurate at all, it likely got nixed because that would've put us playing two B12 teams (Baylor and OU in the same year). We already have a crazy SoS but that would make it insane.

Maybe I've missed something, but I'd like to see a link to any such rules by the SEC or any other policy giving them the authority to dictate who Tennessee can and cannot play in OOC games. Does the conference have a position? Probably. Does that mean Tennessee can't make its own decision? I doubt it. And besides...why the hell would Tennessee want to play Oklahoma and Baylor in the same year anyway?

LSU played the rose bowl, orange bowl and bcs title winners away from home. And won all 3.
