Now, let's consider that Wisconsin was dominating LSU until they lost their Heisman candidate running back to injury along with 2 starters on the front 7.

Perpetuate that Wisc myth about Gordon injury. Go back and look at the Play by play log. MG carried the ball four times for zero net yards in the second half and he played the whole second half. Wisc was getting their arse kicked on offense and made that shite up after the game. They only ran the ball about 12 times in the second half and QB, MG, and Clement split thoses carries and none of them were effective. MG made a miraculous recovery for their next game...

Where is all the optimism coming from?

Mid way through the season a couple of major personnel changes were made on defense and the wah-lah! the defense was fixed. The offense was still struggling in the passing game but the running game was very good. LSU does not expect to lose much to graduation and/or draft like the other schools in the division. Therefore the expectation that the QB play will be improved is the major hurdle for LSU to improve next year but the expectation is there.

LSU could have a great team next year but they won't. The truth is you guys do not have a qb. Harris is even worse than jennings, you have the most over rated OC in the country and you still have a grass eating moron for a head coach. You may get lucky and win 9 games. 9 win seasons are pretty good if you are a tiger fan.
