I'm just saying in some songs you can definitely tell bluegrass was one of his influences. Basically, if I were you I would download both of his albums......"High Top Mountain" and "Metamodern Sounds in Country Music"

I also heard him say in an interview that grass was a big influence on him, I just figured it would carry more into his music and that's why I asked...but I bet he does more of that type stuff in the future.

Life of Sin kinda sounds like Dwight Yoakem's sound....Bakersfield.

If you likes these you'll like all he does

I've really liked what I've heard so far. One song I could hear some Keith Whitley too, this guy is a major talent and his lyrics are really solid as well. I'll have to get some of his music.

His lead guitar player is a freaking prodigy. He does things on the guitar I could only dream to do. He's from Russia, they found him on You Tube lol.
