AJC caters to Greater Atlanta population, about half of which are fans of teams that aren't UGA. All of the Auburn, Clemson, Bama, Florida, FSU, UTk, USCe subscribers eat that shite up. Can't blame the AJC. Close to half of their subscribers get the paper for the sports page (traditionally) and if they were a hometown UGA biased (real or perceived) they'd lose subscriptions from all the carpet baggers they serve.

There'd be just as many supporters, sympathizers, even from other fanbases. There was alot of support for Gurley on the SECR during GurleyGate. Younger fans tend to support athletes that smoke weed and sell their autograph.
