When some reacted to the news of Bobo’s interview with the assumption that he is going to be the Rams’ next coach, that was considerably premature and even a bit naive. This preliminary interview came to light. He might become the Rams’ next coach, but this is part of a bigger picture.

Frank isn’t yet involved and presumably won’t be until final interviews.

Other possibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Former CSU players Tony Alford, the running backs coach at Notre Dame; Billy Gonzales, co-offensive coordinator at Mississippi State; and Rick Dennison, quarterbacks coach of the Baltimore Ravens.

• Oregon offensive coordinator Scott Frost and/or wide receivers coach Matt Lubick.

• Plus Michigan State defensive coordinator Pat Narduzzi; Auburn offensive coordinator Rhett Lashlee; and Texas defensive coordinator Vance Bedford.

I keep an eye on twitter and haven't seen anything significant anywhere. I think I know of the "Monday announcement" you're referring to, and if so, that was basically somebody's spidey sense tingling somewhere because their "source had a feeling" there would be an announcement Monday.

If Bobo is not offered a significant raise, heads will roll.

ETA: I also saw somewhere that Bobo interviewed somewhere in Texas and was back in Athens for practice that afternoon. If true, that interview was not very involved.
