Leinart, Bush and White takes a backseat to no backfield I have ever seen in college football. They also had Dwayne Jarrett and Steve Smith at WR, who were infinitely better than any WR Auburn had. They had big game experience, a wonderful defensive mind as a HC, and when fully motivated, those USC teams were damn near unbeatable. The 2004 USC team was significantly better than the 2003 USC team that put a monster arse beating on Auburn to open the season in Jordan-Hare.

Wrong again. Creations of the media hype. They couldn't hang talent wise at the highest level. The Auburn WR did.

Keep accepting the perception and ignoring facts.

The 2003 isn't a reasonable variable because Auburn ran a completely different offense in 2004. Almost 40 spots different than 2003 and Auburn also had a better defense.

So only auburn improved from that 23-0 beat down at home to usc? You mean usc didn't improve at all from the first game of 03, in which leinart made his first college start and bush/white didn't play, to the bcs title game of 04 when they were all seasoned veterans?

I never made such a literal claim. I just suggested 2003 had no bearing on 2004 anyone watching could tell. USC 2004 was a great team just not best that year.

2 totally different seasons. No way to logically say 04 USC was better than 04 auburn. Different year, some new players, and some more experienced players.
