LSU won the SEC title and played in the NC game in 2011

4 straight top 15 finishes until this year, two top 10 finishes in that stretch, an SEC title, a national title game appearance, 52 wins. Yes, LSU has been elite without a national title. Only 3 teams in the country have won a national title since 2010. One of those teams also has had two 5+ loss seasons in that stretch, including a season of zero conference wins. That leaves FSU and Alabama. There are more than 2 teams nationally that would be considered elite. LSU has still been a top 5-7 program, easily, this decade. That's elite in my opinion.
