Harbaugh has coached 0 years at an Ncaa power school. Saban has 13, and yet he still went 12-1 in 2010, the same record as Saban for 3 of his titles. Jim just didnt get "voted in". Not sure how he can control that
Is it possible that Harbaugh did what he did because he was in the PAC12?
Could he come to Vanderbilt and do the same thing?

Should have clarified. When he left San Diego, he wanted to play in Miami, but the team doctors wouldn't clear him. So he ended up in New Orleans. That's my understanding anyway.

Hell, he made a shitty program in Baton Rouge worth something, why not Vandy?

One thing we know for sure is Saban has 4 titles. Harbaugh has zero. Carroll has 3.
The other thing we know for sure is these programs have historically won championships and recruits come regardless....what's sad is that Saban can't win in every year with the top recruits.....why'd he suck in the NFL? Oh. Didn't have the talent advantage. Got it.
Harbaugh was out-recruited by 3-4 teams in his conference yet won it. Won a BCS bowl. Went to the NFL and took a shitty record team to elite status.......Saban shite the bed when forced to play with equal talent....
Again, in the long run...Bama, ND, Texas, USC, and a couple others will always have the advantage based on recruiting and their history......
You don't get the "11 on their ACT players" into Stanford because they are fast and can catch......

Hmmmmm.......seems like the consensus disagrees with 87. Shocking.
Nattys matter, nuff said.
Btw, taking vandy to 12-1 would be a better angle and Stanford in the PAC 12 is no where close.

This is a dumb question? The answer just assumes he was at the same level that he is now.
You don't think he's become better at his job? Most people get better at their job the longer they do it, right?

The only question you need to ask yourself is how would Harbaugh do at Bama and LSU? If you think better then Harbaugh is your answer. If you think worse then Saban is your answer. Either one can be argued and is logical. To the fricktards that tear down either one I am currently waiting at Sonic to beat your arse

Fact of the matter is, I have a good source that says Saban is gonna step down after he wins the playoff. He will step into the AD roll and immediately hire Harbaugh. Announcement will come during the post game celebration.
