247's JC Shurburtt was just interviewed on 107.5, here are the main bullets:

1) USC had a very lucrative package set up for Will Muschamp and Spurrier shot it down.

2) USC did not visit Paris Palmer during the contact period - We already knew this but still stings

3) He thinks few staff changes will be made. Probably Johnson and Lawing coming back. Called it "getting the band back together"

4) Marquavious Lewis is wavering. Could be de-commitment number 7.

5) Every assistant we have hired to replace guys like Beamer, Johnson, and Lawing has been a downgrade and that has killed us on the field and on the recruiting trail.

6) Bubba is basically the acting Assistant Head Coach.

7) We are screwed after 2015.

I listened to JC's entire interview and some of it should be taken with a grain of salt. I'm still listening to the show right now and all the calls have been whiny as hell.

JC is just venting frustration from having to deal with the message board poison. Although, I agree, things are not perfect right now - Spurrier could have handled some things better - but the minority of our fanbase that is melting right now needs to get a grip.

I don't know man, I think it's more than a minority. I've never had so many conversations with people enraged about Ward still being around, and that was before the decommits started flowing.

If we lose Lewis all he'll will break loose. That would be two day one starters in the trenches gone because Spurrier is a dumbass
