Per Bunker insider autigers07 AU will not make another hire til after the coaches convention which is this Sunday-Tuesday and we are now looking at mid to late next week before the staff is finalized.
Sorry this title is similar to another thread but the OP is different and I felt these nuggets deserved their own thread.
Per PM
-T-Rob is supposed to meet w/ new UF DC this afternoon
-they have never met
-the meet will be a big factor in if T-Rob stays at UF or comes to AU
-may be mutual interest between Boom and Randy Shannon about RS coming to AU
-UF is going after RS also
-pairing RS & T-Rob for a school could pay off big in recruiting South Florida

So Gus is working on assembling a Defensive staff made up of mostly ex-headcoaches.... i like it.

You would think a defensive staff position under Boom would be very appealing for guys like T-Rob and Shannon. You know after 3 years Boom will probably leave for another HC'ing gig and a proven guy like T-Rob or RS would be in prime position to be promoted to D coordinator.

That's kinda my thinking on the subject as well. Muschamp comes in and hopefully changes the attitude/culture on defense and then when he leaves hopefully a staff member gets bumped up to the DC position. No scheme changes for the most part. Continuity has hurt our production on D as much as anything I believe. My .02
