They can't sell out their little stadium and visiting fans represent 40% of their ticket sales

Well that just isn't true in McLane Stadium.

quote:

In 2011, eventual Heisman Trophy winner Robert Griffin III took his bears into College Station, where they took on a team that blew back to back 3 score halftime leads and were coached by Mike Sherman. The Baylor fan support was overwhelming, failing to sell their allotment of tickets for a game 90 miles south of Waco.

A&M led 24-14 at halftime and was set to blow another 2nd half lead.

Final Score A&M 55, Baylor 28.

Ryan Tannehill threw for over 400 yards and 6 touchdowns, 4 to Ryan Swope, who had over 200 yards receiving.

This is true, but you also lost to UT at home so I guess UT runs Texas.

quote:

Baylor is our bitch on the football field

Even with their best team in a 100 years with a heisman winning qb we kicked their arse

Our best teams have been the past two seasons, we haven't played you then. We had our best player in 2011 not our best team.

quote:

That is the thing- we don't have to play Baylor. We have to play the SEC, which means we need as many 4 and 5 stars that we can get. They wish they could play us, have a shot at legitimacy.

I think our back to back Big 12 championships are given us legitimacy.

quote:

The committee just said that Baylor, even at the peak of the program, isn't good enough to compete for anything better.

That's not what the committee said at all. They said we don't deserve to be in the cfb playoff this season.

quote:

No they wouldn't.

Even undefeated, the highest they were was 6th.

wat. Our highest ceiling undefeated is 6th but we are 5th with one loss.

as much as aggy hates the Big12, the chances of a undefeated Big12 team ever being left out of the playoffs is none.

quote:

Good for Baylor. They run the Big 12 and are the most successful team in the state of Texas this year.

But #WRTS is a reference to our recruiting dominance.

This is true. We have never out recruited A&M. Briles has always been the diamond in the rough type recruiter. We've accomplished a lot of success so far with 2* and 3* recruits. We are just now starting to pull in 4* and rarely a 5* recruit.

quote:

45,000 seat stadium

8,500 student seats 50% went unused or unpurchased by students

I don't think you understand how attendance works.

8,500 seats by students. That means 56% of our student body gets tickets. First that is extremely high percentage of a student body attending a game. Second, that amount doesn't account for all the students that don't get tickets to seats but are given tickets for general admission (standing room only in the berm area).

quote:

Their stadium holds like 30 people.

45,000 seat stadium for a student body of 15,000. That would be equivalent to a 150,000 person stadium for A&M.

Which is good enough for Briles to get y'all in playoff contention most years. Again, I'm happy for Baylor. They improved themselves and now run the Big 12.

Hey there BeYou, I was just slinging poo at the trolls

I'm actually very happy for both BU and TCU's success. But we all know there is a ceiling to it. At least we all thought we did until you broke through it. Keep going; keep whipping the sips, just stop sucking their nuts....they signed the GOR, they aren't going anywhere

And we all know y'all would kick our arse this year.

You're crowing about 56% student attendance to a school that routinely has over 80% of its students at games?

Most people would say that. The slogan is a play off of that.

I personally think otherwise.

In the long term what matters are national titles and Heismans. Congrats to Baylor for getting one of those though!

A&M won 8 of the final 11 SWC Championships and would have won the 1994 title if not on probation.

Those champions went 2-6 in bowl games.

That's simply not accurate. Baylor sold out of tickets for the entire season in August. I seem to remember seeing a lot of empty seats at Kyle Field vs. Ole Miss and LSU. You can't fill up your stadium against top 10 teams? Sad.

Baylor AND TCU has passed A&M by. Baylor is going to their 2nd consecutive top tier bowl. They won back to back conference championships (Aggies haven't won a championship since the 90s). They built a brand new stadium that's nicer than Kyle Field. They just hosted College Gameday. Their unis are some of the best in the nation. Baylor Football is a better brand than TAMU's, and will be for the foreseeable future.
