Arkansas lost to A&M; we now have a shot at big brother.

The SCAR vs Miami game is a whole lot deeper than the ACC thing. It's a wicked old rivalry that dates back to both our Independent days.

1987 was the cheap shot on Todd Ellis, now our play by play guy, that led to the brawl .... and it was a true brawl.

Afterwards, our BOTs voted to never schedule them again. We really hated each other back in those Thug U days. They hold an 8-5-2 series record advantage over us.

I'm sure that 1987 game will be talked about a lot leading up to this bowl game. I was there .... fans were fighting in the stands, the police were overmatched and outnumbered. It was a crazy day. That night there was another big brawl downtown between fans.

We do not like each other.

When I'm not on my phone I'll Google '87 Miami vs South Carolina brawl and pull-up some of the old press clippings and the video off of YouTube of the brawl. Not all games were televised back then but this brawl was and it made national news.

We've refused to play one another since.
