DFW and Houston are bigger than Atlanta.

But your large football stadium is not in the middle of the city it is in the middle of parking lots off of an interstate between the two cities.

If it was truly about playing in the best stadium, why not go to Jerry's World every year. The fact that all the Championship games do not rotate is idiotic. Seem very reasonable to have each school "host" the game, rotating from state to state each year. Spreads revenue dollars around to each schools city areas. There is no reason to be scared of the ACC taking over in football. Georgia Tech is IN Atlanta already.

This and good (and completely expected) news. Atlanta is the best spot for the event. Over 20 years of success, driving distance for most of the schools, a great tie-in with the new CFB HOF, and a new stadium on the way. "Getting to Atlanta" has become another way of saying make it to the SECCG.

It is a little out of the way for A&M and Mizzou, but there isn't a better option. I still haven't been (the last three times Auburn made it I saved my $$ for the bowl game), but I'm going to try to go next time they are there.

The ACC would love to be there, but the SECCG is a far bigger/better event. Glad the ACC seems to have found a sensible home in Charlotte though.

What does that have to do with hosting the baseball tournament in Frisco?
